Longtime AT&T Business executive Chris Hill has left Ma Bell to take a top role at a mobile enterprise management firm.
Hill, who held various roles at AT&T since 1997, now serves as president of OpenPeak.
The position was created for Hill. In fact, news of his appointment comes after AT&T made a capital investment in OpenPeak earlier this year. OpenPeak said it would use the money for growth, partnership expansion, R&D, and more. Now, Hill will oversee much of those efforts. He reports to Dan Gittleman, chairman and CEO of OpenPeak.
Hill’s most recent title with AT&T Business was as senior vice president of advanced solutions. That job, and others, included responsibility for M2M, mobility and UC for all business and government segments. Such experience in enterprise mobility gives Hill “strategic vision and proven ability to take OpenPeak to the next level,” Gittleman said in a press release.
OpenPeak specializes in securing and managing business data on mobile devices, while letting employees use the device of their choice.
