Pac-West Telecomm Inc., a wholesale provider of advanced telecommunications services, has acquired Texas-based Tex-Link Communications Inc.

Tex-Link will continue to operate and serve its customer base in Texas as a wholly owned subsidiary of Pac-West, expanding on an already merged operations infrastructure put in place under the two companies’ existing strategic partnership. There will be a smooth transition for existing Tex-Link customers to the Pac-West network, providing additional opportunities for products and services in more markets.

“With strong financials, complementary products and services and a talented management team, Tex-Link was an ideal opportunity to seamlessly expand our footprint while strengthening our organization and positioning us well for future market expansion opportunities,” said Hal Turner, CEO of Pac-West.

Tex-Link president Mark Griffin will continue to oversee Texas operations, and will serve an expanded role in Pac-West as senior vice president, sales and marketing.

Pac-West currently serves wholesale customers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Utah and Washington. With the acquisition of TexLink, Pac-West extends it footprint to include the “Big 4” Texas markets.
