Pac-West To Buy Napa Valley Telecom

As part of its strategy to increase its small and medium-sized customer base and expand
its footprint in the western United States, Pac-West Telecomm Inc. (www.pacwest.com) has
agreed to acquire Napa Valley Telecom (NVTS), a switch-based telco headquartered in
northern California.

NVTS was founded in 1983 and holds the first tariff issued to a competitive long
distance carrier in California. The company currently provides more than 6,000 business
and residential customers with long distance, voice mail, fax broadcasting,
teleconferencing and telephone-system sales and service.

NVTS’s management team now will supervise Pac-West’s North Bay Area branch office,
including Napa, Sonoma, Solano and Marin counties.
