The U.S. Government has approved PAETEC Communications Inc. as a vendor on its GSA IT Schedule 70 contract. Schedule 70 lets companies sell to all government agencies buying telecom IT, hardware, software and professional services.

“We currently provide service to more than 400 agencies nationwide through our Government Solutions group, says Tom FitzGerald, vice president of government markets for PAETEC. GSA IT Schedule 70 will allow us to show a much broader audience the value and solutions that PAETEC can provide.”

Earning approved vendor status requires completion of a lengthy process, including providing in-depth product information, negotiating prices, submitting customer references and more.

PAETEC will sell its MPLS VPN, dedicated Internet access, e-mail and more through the GSA contract, which is valid for five years.
