Master agency PlanetOne Communications is expanding in the northeastern United States with the hiring of a former EarthLink Business channel manager.
PlanetOne on Thursday announced that it has hired Joseph Nader as its channel sales director for the northeast region.
“Joe is supremely qualified for this position,” said Ted Schuman, president and founder of PlanetOne. “He joined us for the sole purpose of aggressively expanding our sales organization back East. His experience, personality and drive are the perfect fit for our team.”
Naders duties include managing existing agent relationships, signing new channel partners and broadening PlanetOnes reach in the northeastern United States. Nader said he will make the most of his 28 years in the telecom business.
“I’ve cultivated an extensive network of loyal friends in the industry people I respect,” he said. My goal is to leverage those relationships for the sales success of PlanetOne.”
Nader most recently spent two years as a channel manager with EarthLink Business. Before that, he owned a telecom consultancy. He also has served as executive vice president for BTI Telecom of North Carolina and as vice president of the eastern region for Cable & Wireless. Nader further worked for 10 years as a sales rep for the original MCI.
Nader, a native New Yorker, lives in Yonkers with his wife and three sons.
PlanetOnes expansion comes as the agency gains significant traction in the business world. Earlier this month, PlanetOne was named one of Inc. Magazines Fastest Growing Private Companies in America; the company also made waves in this year when it landed credit card giant American Express as a customer.
