PowerNet Global Communications has selected Sylantro Systems application feature server platform for its nationwide hosted VoIP service offering in conjunction with its next-generation network. It also has chosen IPeria Inc.s ActivEdge voice mail for its nationwide rollout of consumer and business VoIP services.

PowerNet Globals residential users will be able to use virtually any broadband service in conjunction with the VoIP service while receiving telco-grade voice quality. Sylantros next-generation network application platform provides Class 5 features coupled with such capabilities as click-to-call, find-me/follow-me and private-brandable, browser-based portals.

IPerias ActivEdge unified communications applications also will provide integrated messaging services, including access to voice mail messages through any telephone, e-mail client, or from the Internet using a Web portal. It also features advanced notification capabilities to alert subscribers of new voice mail messages through stutter dial tone, by lighting message waiting indicators on telephones, by sending an e-mail and by calling subscribers on their mobile or alternate telephone.

The ActivEdge carrier-class software can be deployed in a central location or distributed throughout multiple locations with high availability including software and hardware redundancy.
