ShoreTel-Tango Partnership Means Mobile UC

Companies using ShoreTel Inc.s Unified Communications Platform Release 10.x now can take their capabilities on the road, a key selling point for ShoreTel partners to emphasize.

Thats thanks to a new partnership between ShoreTel and Tango Networks, which specializes in mobile UC. Any phone on a Tango-enabled network can now serve as an extension of the ShoreTel UC system, the companies said on Monday. Functionality includes the ability to transfer calls between mobile and desktop phones, and access to one inbox for desktop and mobile voice mail.

ShoreTel distributes through partners such as dealers and VARs; Tango is a member of ShoreTels Technology Partner Program. ShoreTel makes hardware including IP desktop phones and develops software for VoIP, UC and other applications.
