CHANNEL PARTNERS SimpleSignal (Booth 2002) today announced two new, key, integrations with Microsoft and Google.

First, the UC&C provider said its hosted VoIP service now works with Microsoft Lync, thanks to a partnership with Ongoing Operations. Second, the company said its hosted PBX users now can make calls from the Gmail and Google Apps interfaces.

The Lync integration comes in response to “a void in the marketplace for a dependable HD voice solution that works seamlessly with Lyncs IM, presence and meeting collaboration tools,” said Michael Sterl, executive vice president of sales for SimpleSignal.

Three integration options are available: basic SIP connectivity for premise-based Lync installations; hybrid SIP connectivity with hosted PBX features; and fully managed hosted Lync integrated with SimpleSignals hosted PBX. The latter targets companies not equipped with, or who don’t want to manage, a premise-based system.

SimpleSignals Hosted PBX combined with Ongoing Operations’ Hosted Lync enable us to provide a great collaboration suite,” said Kirk Drake, CEO of Ongoing Operations.

The service includes unlimited domestic calling, mobile phone support, Microsoft Exchange integration, voice-to-text voice mail and more.

Next, SimpleSignal also has teamed with gUnify, a service that connect Google Apps users to cloud-based platforms. In this case, gUnify is connecting Google Apps users to their SimpleSignal service. The service works with cloud platforms including Salesforce, Zoho, Apptivo and Clio, and is deployable in minutes via the Google Apps domain control panel, without software, plugins or hardware.

gUnify allows for click-to-call from within Google Apps. It calls a SimpleSignal desk or mobile phone to connect the call. Other features include call logging, which can be shared with CRM and project management apps, presence, contact sync and conference calling.

“Were committed to providing voice integrations with all popular SaaS products and gUnify is a big part of helping us make that happen,” said Michael Sterl, executive vice president of sales for SimpleSignal. Google Apps is obviously one of the biggest SaaS offerings on the market and this was a really critical integration for us.”
