SmartShare Brings Bandwidth Optimization to ConnectWise Users

SmartShare Systems now offers its automated QoS and bandwidth-optimization appliances to channel partners using ConnectWise software.

The two companies said on Tuesday theyve teamed to make bandwidth optimization available to ConnectWise partners such as managed services providers (MSPs).

SmartShares gear comes with Health Monitor to detect network problems and automatically fix those performance issues. When Health Monitor finds trouble, the appliance creates a service ticket in the ConnectWise professional services automation platform so MSPs know whats happening. Health Monitor closes the ticket when the situation is resolved.

Bandwidth management makes a network more efficient and saves money; because of that, MSPs and other ConnectWise channel partners will find SmartShare Systems can enhance the quality and profitability of VoIP installations, as well as hosted applications,” said Jeannine Edwards, director of ConnectWise Community.

This integration enables our partners working with unified communications and SaaS environments another competitive advantage when delivering solutions for the modern office,” Edwards added.

To that end, SmartShare Systems is offering partners a low annual cost of ownership although specific pricing was not provided that covers hardware under warranty and software updates. The service further works for a customer subscription model, SmartShare Systems said.

This integration reflects the automated nature of our products by automating both service tickets and monthly bandwidth usage reports, which makes it easier for partners to improve service to their customers,” said Michel Thorsen, CEO of SmartShare Systems.

Solution providers and MSPs can deliver better quality in data transfers and IP telephony to their customers, with no extra investments in bandwidth,” said Michel Thorsen, CEO of SmartShare Systems.
