Sonus Networks COO Resigns
Guru Pai, who served as COO of IP gear-maker Sonus Networks, resigned from the company last Friday, citing personal reasons.

The COO of IP gear-maker Sonus Networks Inc. has resigned after less than one year in the job.
Guru Pai said on Dec. 31 he was leaving the company immediately for personal reasons. Pais departure comes about two months after telecom industry veteran Raymond Dolan became the new president and CEO of Sonus. Prior to the appointment, Dolan led Qualcomms Flarion Technologies unit.
Pai had worked for Sonus for two years and was promoted in February 2010 to the newly created role of COO. He oversaw the companys sales, services and products divisions. Sonus didnt say whether someone else will be named to the COO position.
Sonus makes IP equipment for enterprises and service providers; its products include media and signaling gateways, policy and routing servers, session border controllers and subscriber feature servers.
Shares of Sonus Networks were trading 4.09 percent higher in late-morning activity on Monday, reaching $2.78. The 52-week high stands at $3.75.
