SoTel Adds SIP Apps
January 28, 2010
SoTel Systems LLC announced Thursday two new applications — Opti-Pipe IP and Opti-Link IP — for its SoTel IP Services for small and medium businesses, which are sold primarily through an indirect sales channel.
SoTel Opti-Pipe IP provides customers with commercial-grade Internet access for dynamic integrated SIP service. It is available through multiyear agreements, and SoTel is offering up to two months free through March 31, 2010. SoTel Opti-Link IP plan provides on-demand conference calling access for up to 32 simultaneous participants for as low as $5.95 per month and less than 4 cents per minute, per party.
SoTel SIP service is based on SoTel SIPCore technology. SIPCore is a soft-switch technology developed by SoTel using Open SER platform and colocated on the Level 3 Communications Inc. network.
“The addition of our commercial-grade Internet Access service offering and conference calling applications enhance our full suite of bundled VoIP products for IT service companies (VARs), interconnect companies and traditional agents to sell to end-users. This program allows our agents and
resellers to enhance their position as the one-stop service shop for end-user customers,” said Jim Goebel, President of SoTel Systems.
SoTel SIP Services are sold primarily through the SoTel SIP Service Agent Program. A dynamic customer service portal allows the agent to enter service orders, check status and review CDR records for agent accounts on a real-time basis.
In addition to SIP products, agents will have access to SoTel Systems’ wholesale parts distribution products, including Siemens, Epygi, 3CX, Snom and a variety of products from leading manufacturers.
