Joining the SMB trend to consolidate on IP, Speakeasy Inc. has added SIP trunking and Ethernet services to its portfolio.

Best Buy’s SMB broadband powerhouse plans to certify eight IP PBX vendors for SIP trunking, with starting with ADTRAN and Fonality.

Speakeasy also said it was adding an integrated voice over Ethernet service, with tiers for 3mbps, 5mbps and 10mbps. The 10mbps offering will support up to 48 concurrent calls on standard codecs.
