NetCarrier said on Tuesday that Chicago-based TBI now stands as its one of its five Platinum Master Agents.
Bruce Wirt, the company’s channel chief, said TBI joins Chorus Communications and CNSG in achieving the designation. Meantime, NetCarrier is negotiating with two more master agents in the Western United States and plans to name those companies once discussions are finalized.
More carriers appear to be turning to top-producing partner organizations to streamline sales efforts. In return, they get access to, in many cases, thousands of agents, VARs and MSPs across the country. NetCarrier, whose roots date back to 1996, says teaming with large agencies across the United States gives it nationwide reach. In fact, the Pennsylvania-based CLEC says it now boasts close to 3,000 agents and subagents thanks to footprint gained through its key partners.
NetCarrier sells only through the channel, a key reason why TBI chose to align with the provider. Plus, said Ken Mercer, vice president of TBI, “NetCarrier’s ability to hand off their services to POTS, PRI, or SIP over customers’ existing bandwidth makes them very versatile and an option for the majority of the quotes we do.”
Through NetCarrier, TBI’s agents get access to providers including Charter, Comcast and Time Warner Cable, among other brands.
