Terrapin Solutions Becomes Master Agent for Appia

Appia Communications will provide Appia’s cloud-based communication and networking services through Terrapin Solutions‘ agent network, the companies announced Wednesday.

Terrapin Solutions, San Ramon, Calif., is a master agency for “cloud” technology services, including cloud telephony (hosted VoIP, SIP trunking and call centers), cloud computing (desktop/server virtualization) and managed cloud services (outsourced IT/help desk services).

As a member of Appia’s network of partners, Terrapin is authorized to distribute all of Appia’s managed voice, data, video and networking services to businesses and organizations nationwide.

“The team at Terrapin understood the value of cloud computing years before anyone coined the phrase,” said Jason Ulm, Appia’s vice president of sales. “Like Appia, they’ve been providing hosted VoIP since its inception. That experience is rare in the industry and invaluable to customers. We’re delighted to work with them.”

Pryfogle said that the two partners soon will release a case study on one of their first customer implementations.

Headquartered in Traverse City, Mich., Appia serves markets nationwide, with operations in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and St. Louis.
