Time Warner Telecom Closes Gap on Quarterly Losses

Colorado-based Time Warner Telecom Inc. improved its losses during the first quarter of 2007, the second straight quarter it has reported earnings since buying Xspedius Communications.

The CLEC on Wednesday posted a net loss of $13.8 million, or 10 cents per share, as compared to a loss of $22.3 million, or 19 cents per share, a year ago.

Revenue also climbed 40 percent, from $186.2 million a year ago to $261.4 million. The biggest growth came from business customers, which contributed $60.5 million to the providers overall numbers.
