The TelePacific Telepartner President’s Club 2008 was celebrated in style on the weekend of April 17th at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Ariz., together with two representatives from each of the channel’s top five master agents – Sandler Partners, PSI Network, DataTel Solutions, Intelisys and Telcombrokers – and their guests, as well as the Telepartner directors and agent managers.

The two-day event, hosted by CEO and president Dick Jalkut; TelePartner VP Justin Chris-Tensen; and TelePartner marketing manager Bita Milanian, began on Friday afternoon with a welcome reception, followed by a guided Jeep rally through the Sonoran Desert, riding through the hills, canyons and arroyos that surround the Old Pueblo.

Guests were picked up in open-air jeeps, with a captain appointed per jeep, so that they could participate as teams in an adventurous challenge with prizes at the end.

Upon reaching the trailhead, vehicles dropped into four-wheel drive and proceeded into the desert. As the rally drew to a close deep in the desert mountains, the participants noticed a faint glow in the oncoming darkness. A closer approach brought the guests to a dining area, complete with bonfire and checkered tablecloths.

Decked in Western wear, the wait staff greeted the guests, passing cocktails, while chefs prepared a barbeque, influenced with the local flavors. A Southwestern-style band was also on site playing local favorites until the dinner’s conclusion. A surprise performer, Steve Olsen of PSI Networks, indulged everyone with two beautiful songs.

Day two was a day of leisure – either enjoying a day at the spa or playing a round of golf at the course adjacent to the resort. Dick, Justin and Bita also hosted a breakfast meeting with the master agents, providing them with an update on the economic conditions of the marketplace and TelePacific’s plans in the future. The celebration concluded with the awards reception and dinner hosted in the Upper Terrace area of the resort, which is tucked away in the hills.
