Transcend United Buys Unit of Relational Technology Solutions

Transcend United CEO Rick Hirsh said the deal will improve the company's managed services delivery capabilities.

Transcend United Technologies, an IT systems integration and managed services firm focused on midmarket and enterprise customers, on Tuesday announced completing its acquisition of the Converged business unit of Relational Technology Solutions. Ohio-based Relational Technology Solutions (RTS) is a Platinum Avaya partner.

Transcend United, based in Wayne, Pa., said the acquisition adds a presence in new markets, including California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee.

“This acquisition adds an impressive list of Enterprise organizations,” Transcend United CEO Rick Hirsh said, “and the track record of the RTS team serves to enhance our Managed Services delivery capabilities.”

Karl Soderlund, Avaya’s VPI, U.S. Channel Sales, noted that both companies have multiple certifications across Avaya’s product lines and support.

Q Advisors, an investment banking boutique, served as Transcend United’s financial advisor in the deal. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Transcend United focuses on offering unified communications, network and data center infrastructure, wireless and mobility as well as backup recovery solutions.
