Verizon Business has added an SIP Gateway Outbound Service to its wholesale portfolio, which is sold through Verizon Partner Solutions.

The new service uses virtual rather than traditional physical trunking to enable faster service, turn-up, changes and call processing, the company said.

SIP Gateway Service Outbound allows calls to originate from Internet formats URI and URL as well as the traditional numbering format. It also adds the security mechanism Remote Party ID as an accepted signaling configuration to the P-asserted ID signaling configuration, which is already available.

In addition to SIP Gateway Outbound Service, Verizon Business SIP Gateway Services are available in three other configurations: Inbound Complete, Two-Way Local and Two-Way Complete.
