Answering the call for better value in the hosted PBX space, Virtual PBX has added call recording to its palette of services at no charge for customers.
This is the latest in a series of enhancements that Virtual PBX has rolled out this year,” said Greg Brashier, COO of Virtual PBX. Weve had requests for call recording from our client base and felt it was something a majority of our SMB clients could use. Since we innovated the entire hosted PBX space, we feel it is necessary to lead by example and continue to enhance the service.”
Call recording, he said, can be a valuable training tool for customer-oriented staff such as contact centers and customer service departments. This is where most of the demand originated. In particular, weve found that many call centers love this feature since its a free and effective tool that allows them to improve company performance.”
Companies also can use the call recording feature to capture conference calls to listen to at a later date or for employees who were unable to attend. Also, call recording can be used for legal purposes, Brashier said.
Every user with a Virtual PBX extension can record all calls automatically or select calls to record manually. Administrators can also decide to control call recording for all users or give each user the ability to manage his or her recordings.
All of our features including call recording can be controlled from our browser-based management tool, and changed at any time,” Brashier said. Our web console can be accessed from any browser, without any need for software download and with no questions of compatibility. Call recording can be automatic or started by pushing #9 during a call, and different settings can apply for different extensions or departments.”
Virtual PBX has an affiliate program for channel partners that pays commissions on referrals 30 days after a customer has signed up and stayed with the company. Our affiliates number is in the hundreds and the count is growing rapidly,” Brashier said.
