Vocal IP Networx Gets a New Indirect Channel Exec

The hosted VoIP provider has hired Josh Redick, who has worked at Clearwire and XO.

IP telephony provider Vocal IP Networx has named Josh Redick its new vice president of sales; hell oversee the companys indirect channel.

Redick comes to New York City-based Vocal IP Networx from Clearwire Corp., where he served as general manager of the WiMAX operators New York and New Jersey markets. Before that, Redick spent more than eight years as general manager of XO Communications New York and New Jersey territories, working on the direct and indirect sides of the house. All told, Redick boasts more than 15 years in the telecom industry. Most importantly, though, Vocal IP Networx said Redicks experience developing East Coast markets for new product launches gives him the background needed to help partners.

“Josh is a leader and a highly motivated, experienced individual,” Eugene Laykhtman, CEO of Vocal IP Networx, said in a prepared statement. I look forward to him having a positive impact on the channel.”

Vocal IP Networx is making significant inroads with the channel the company recently became the official VoIP provider for master agency Telarus.
