VOICECON: ADTRAN Launches IP Alliance Program

ADTRAN Inc. (ADTN) has unveiled the ADTRAN Alliance Program, a collaboration between ADTRAN and service providers that complement the NetVanta 7000 converged IP PBX Series. This will enable solutions providers to deliver interoperable enterprise-class IP communications solutions to meet the needs of SMBs in a number of vertical markets.

The initial phase of the ADTRAN Alliance Program features both IPT technology partners and SIP trunking service providers. Members of the alliance have successfully completed interoperability testing of their complementary services or solutions with ADTRAN’s NetVanta 7000 Series IP PBX platforms.

“We are working with innovative partners to further address the needs of our customers,” said Chris Thompson, senior product manager, ADTRAN. “This is the initial phase of our program, with plans underway for additional IP telephony technology partners and SIP trunking service providers. Further expansion of the program will allow us to provide a broad range of interoperable complementary solutions to meet customers’ expanding communication needs.”

Currently, partners include CounterPath, Incendonet, LifeSize Communications, Multi-Tech Systems, Polycom, Resource Software International, SIP Print and snom. The combination of the NetVanta 7000 Series and these partner solutions enable solutions providers to meet business needs, such as desktop IP phones, DECT wireless phones, softphones, speech recognition, call accounting, call recording, unified messaging and telepresence/video conferencing.

SIP Trunking Service Providers offer IP telephony services that are certified to be fully interoperable with the NetVanta 7000 Series. Current SIP Trunking Alliance members include Bandwidth.com, Broadvox, Covad Communications, CommPartners Connect, Speakeasy and Voxitas.

NetVanta 7000 Series IP PBX platforms offer a complete voice and data networking solution for business locations of up to 50 stations. These platforms combine multiple functions including an IP PBX, voice mail, multilevel auto attendant, IP router, 24-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, firewall and VPN into a one-box system.
