VoIP hacker Edwin Pena, arrested in 2006 for fraud and subsequently escaping the country, was found earlier this month in Mexico.

Prosecutors are working to extradite Pena to the United States – presumably to Miami, where he operated a scheme that ripped off companies including Net2Phone to the tune of more than $1 million.

Pena could face up to 25 years in prison and $500,000 in fines alone.
