Wave7 Annnounces Multiple Trident7 Optical Access Platform Deployments
October 3, 2006
Wave7 Optics Inc., a supplier of FTTH/FTTP equipment for residential and business services, recently announced a number of new Trident7 Optical Access Platform customers.
Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power (CELP) will install the Trident7 Optical Access Platform for a new municipal network slated to begin service in January 2007. CELP is a community-owned electric utility serving approximately 10,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Crawfordsville, Ind., and the surrounding area.
The city of Bellevue, Iowa, will install the platform for a new FTTP network that will provide triple-play voice, video and data services to more than 1,500 homes in the area. The new network will replace the citys existing 450MHZ coaxial cable TV system and is part of the citys plan to have unified billing for utility and telecommunications services.
En-Touch Systems Inc., a quad-play provider delivering service to more than 11,000 homes and businesses in southeast Texas, also has selected the Trident7 Optical Access Platform for multiple FTTP networks. Wave7 Optics will deploy Trident7 in “master-planned” communities for both residential and business services over the next five years.
