Westcon Group to Buy Cisco Channel Specialist
Helping partners to expand their businesses, Intact's focus areas include security, unified communications and collaboration, data center, cloud and global deployment.
Tech distributor Westcon Group is buying U.K.-based Intact Integrated Services – a provider of project, support and managed services to the ICT and Cisco channel industry.
Westcon expects the deal will significantly strengthen its position in partner-led services offerings, empowering reseller customers with broader services capabilities.
Intact works with some of the world’s largest telcos, equipment manufacturers, system integrators and VARs – helping to generate new revenue, deliver complex technology projects and support global initiatives. The company is a specialist in the Cisco channel, providing white-label services and support centered on networking, data center/cloud and collaboration technologies.
Intact will become a critical piece of Weston Group’s Global Services Solution Practice. Helping partners to expand their businesses, the company’s focus areas include security, unified communications and collaboration, data center, cloud and global deployment.
“Each of our practices is designed to help partners benefit from the deep technology expertise and real-world business solutions we bring to the table – reflecting how Westcon provides greater value-add than any other distributor in the market today,” said Dolph Westerbos, CEO, Westcon Group. “As a leader in channel services, Intact will become strong foundation in our services practice, helping partners generate new revenue streams via value-added services.”
Intact is a former direct subsidiary of Westcon’s parent company, Datatec Ltd.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. If it gets the green light, the transaction is expected to close sometime next month.
