XO Holdings Inc. reported Thursday that it lowered its net loss by more than 50 percent during the first quarter compared to the same time last year.

The companys net loss was $20.6 million during the first quarter. It was $43.7 million in 2006. XO reported its revenue at $348.5 million compared with $349.6 million during the same period last year.

The company said data and IP services grew 21 percent over the first quarter last year, but integrated/voice services revenue declined because of aging legacy products and its decision to focus on margin performance in the area.

It said revenue from XOptions Flex, it business VoIP services grew 184 percent to $15.4 million during the first quarter compared with $5.4 million last year. Revenue from the companys carrier VoIP services, which includes VoIP Origination and VoIP Termination, grew 83 percent to $7.6 million in the first quarter of 2007 compared to $4.1 million in 2006.
