Zultys has teamed up with Quarta Mobile to introduce Release Version 1.06 of its iConnected mobile Unified communications (UC) client for the iPhone. Compatible with both Apple iOS4 and the iPhone 4, the latest release features an enhanced user interface, an automatic presence status change tracker based on application status, and iOS4 multitasking support to enable iConnected to access the last saved state when switching from other applications.
VoIP and UC vendor Zultys focuses on small-footprint, single server, SIP-based systems designed for easier deployment and management, with a deep channel partner base of VARs and distributors in 50 countries worldwide. Quarta Mobile will be able to leverage this base for its mobile device applications platforms, usually based on the Mac OS X.
iConnected is more than a smartphone, though. Designed for real-time connectivity through Zultyss MX250 and Mx30 IP PBXs so remote workers can always link directly to their corporate communications system, it provides real-time mobile presence, a visual voice mail display, internal extension dialing, corporate directory and PBX access, integration with the internal phone address book, access to call handling rules, and IM and email initiation from the corporate directory.
Zultys is also offering IC integration support for its other mobile units; for the iPhone, theres iConnected; MXmobile for their BlackBerry device, and MXconnect, which can link any phone to the overall UC systems. Find Me/Follow Me and Twinning are also available.
