Zultys Updates Mobile Communicator, Helps Mobile Employees

Zultys, a provider of unified communications solutions, has announced the release of Zultys Mobile Communicator 2.0, an application that brings the built-in SIP softphone function to the Android platform.

The application, now available to download from the Google Play Store, is also available for iPhone, iPad and Blackberry. Zultys Mobile Communicator 2.0 provides remote and mobile employees with the same unified communication benefits as in-office employees. The softphone feature is available over a Wi-Fi connection which allows users to make voice calls on the Internet connection. This feature helps reduce phone, roaming and international charges associated with regular voice calls while increasing productivity, the company said.

Zultys Mobile Communicator 2.0 allows mobile workers to access their company’s phone directory, view co-workers’ availability and send secure chat messages directly from the application.

A mobile access license from Zultys and Zultys MX system running MX Release 7.2.4 or later firmware is required in order to download the application. Existing Android users can download the upgrade at anytime.
