Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled several updates to is HPE Ezmeral software portfolio. These include new products and partnerships which the vendor says helps unify access to data, “from edge to cloud.”

The Ezmeral portfolio is a hybrid cloud platform for data science and analytics workloads. Enterprises can use it to build and accelerate their data analytics initiatives at scale. It comprises an orchestrated Kubernetes container platform, persistent storage layer and machine learning operations (ML Ops) for data science workflows.

HPE said the portfolio “plays an essential role” in its edge-to-cloud platform-as-a-service strategy.

As such, it said its Ezmeral Data Fabric will now be available as a standalone offering. This is in addition to being available as an integrated component of the Ezmeral Container Platform and Ezmeral MLOps. The HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric brings a persistent storage layer to streamline the machine learning model life cycle. It works across on-premises, public cloud, hybrid cloud and edge environments.

The company also unveiled the new HPE Ezmeral Technology Ecosystem program, which enables ISVs to validate their applications on the portfolio. These include Dataiku, MinIOH2O.AI, Rapt.AI, Run:AI, Sysdig and Unravel.

Ezmeral Marketplace

There is also a new Ezmeral Marketplace. This brings ISVs and open source projects such as Apache Spark and Tensorflow to customers looking to modernize their workloads to be cloud-native.

Dataiku CEO Florian Douetteau said the marketplace connects the firm with enterprises modernizing their data analytics and data science workloads. This will help customers “successfully scale and operationalize their machine learning projects, delivering real impact for their business.”

Kumar Sreekanti, CTO and head of software, HPE, said customers are embracing a digital-first strategy. This, he said, was evident with the firm’s “continued growth into new enterprise accounts.”

“The enterprises that use data and AI are better equipped to evolve in this dynamic, post-pandemic world,” he said. “The separate HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric data store and the expanded HPE Ezmeral Marketplace provide enterprises with the environment of their choice; [also], visibility and governance across all enterprise applications and data through an open, flexible, cloud experience everywhere.”

The HPE Ezmeral Container Platform, Ezmeral ML Ops, and Ezmeral Data Fabric are available as cloud services through HPE GreenLake.
