8x8 Unveils New XCaaS Enhancements for Large Video Meetings, More
The enhancements are aimed at organizations that require additional workforce mobility and video meeting capabilities.
8×8 has rolled out enhancements to its Experience Communications as a Service (XCaaS) offering. It’s part of the 8×8 Experience Communications Platform.
XCaaS now includes support for video meetings with up to 500 active participants. It also includes advanced mobility to drive organization-wide collaboration for a hybrid workforce.
In addition, it offers deeper integration with 8×8 Voice for Microsoft Teams.
8×8’s John DeLozier
John DeLozier is 8×8‘s senior vice president and global channel chief.
“Because we own the entire technology stack, we are continuously innovating and adding new enhancements to 8×8 XCaaS,” he said. “This allows partners the ability to enhance client relationships by offering expanded, integrated communications, collaboration and customer engagement capabilities from a single vendor. This update is specifically targeted at those organizations that require additional workforce mobility and video meeting capabilities. For example, the additional participant capacity will allow the city of Campbell, California, to scale and host larger meetings with the community directly from the 8×8 platform without worrying about reaching capacity or participant limits.”
8×8 XCaaS Provides Competitive Advantage
8×8 XCaaS gives 8×8 partners a competitive advantage, DeLozier said. That’s because it delivers a “best-in-suite” solution for both employee and customer engagement. And it includes fully integrated contact center, voice, video meetings, team chat and embedded APIs.
“This allows our partners to meet each client’s unique and evolving requirements with a single-vendor cloud platform to maximize productivity, responsiveness and customer experience from anywhere and on any device, ideal for any workplace situation,” he said.
8×8’s Rob Pilgrim
Rob Pilgrim is 8×8’s global vice president of product management.
“These 8×8 XCaaS enhancements will absolutely allow partners to help organizations as they transition to or continue exercising a hybrid workforce,” he said. “One example is Transcosmos Information Systems. The latest enhancement allowing for up to 500 active video meeting participants will bring great efficiencies for their global customer service and support centers.”
