Application networking vendor A10 Networks (ATEN) has appointed Sanjay Kapoor as vice president of Global Marketing, responsible for the structure, strategy and execution of A10’s worldwide marketing efforts. He will report to A10 CEO Lee Chen in his new role.
“Sanjay’s marketing expertise and industry knowledge will help us elevate the A10 Networks brand, stimulate increased demand for our solutions and drive revenue growth across our entire product portfolio,” said Chen in a statement. “Our global partners and customers will greatly benefit from his extensive networking experience and insights.”
Prior to his appointment, Kapoor served as chief marketing officer and senior vice president of Strategy at Nominum, where he helped the company reposition itself from a network infrastructure software firm to a provider of digital marketing subscriber behavior analytics, according to the announcement. Kapoor also served in executive roles at Juniper Networks (JNPR) and Cisco Systems (CSCO) throughout his career.
“A10 has unparalleled technology and a unique value proposition in helping customers deliver applications with industry-leading availability, security and reliability anytime, anywhere,” said Kapoor. “With this strong technology foundation and a tremendous upside potential, I’m excited to apply my marketing expertise in driving global brand awareness as well as customer and influencer engagement, and increased revenue and market share.”
In October, A10 hired 21-year Ericsson veteran Gunter Reiss to oversee its business development, strategic alliances, business partnerships and OEM relationships. This month also marks the one-year anniversary of the company’s revamped Affinity Partner Program, which sought to help North American partners boost their profitability and benefit from new training modules and reseller tools.
