RingCentral followed through on plans to land more major master agents with the signing of Avant.
The cloud communications provider said on Tuesday that it has partnered with Avant. RingCentral hails the move as an opportunity to improve partner enablement in a time of “increasing demand for global cloud communications solutions.”
“Avant has an incredible reputation in the channel as a leading provider of unified communications technologies for mid and large-sized businesses,” said Zane Long, RingCentral’s vice president of channel sales. “With demand for cloud communications on the rise, Avant partners will now have a powerful solution in their arsenal to help enterprises migrate from legacy on-premise[s] systems to RingCentral’s next-generation cloud platform.”
Long, who has been in the position since February, told Channel Partners earlier this year that RingCentral was looking to build new relationships with master agents. It already has signed up Telarus and TBI.
“I’m pursuing what I consider the ones [that are] the best fit and the biggest in the industry, and we are going to go very deep rather than wide,” he said in March. “We believe that kind of support and focus will garner more revenue for us.”{ad}
Network planning, migration strategy and best-of-breed cloud services are a few things RingCentral said Avant brings to the table to help partner sales enablement.
“Our partners act as a trusted adviser to enterprise customers, helping them juggle the complex ecosystem of business technology,” said Avant President Drew Lydecker. “Our goal is to identify the best solutions for our partners, and RingCentral is a natural fit with our communications portfolio. Our sales-enablement methodology has already resulted in great traction with RingCentral’s cloud communications platform among multinational enterprises.”
Drew Lydecker spoke to Channel Partners for a Q&A back in April.
