Avnet Launches uRenew Partner Portal
Avnet Technology Solutions announced the launch of its new uRenew portal, which will allow the distributor’s North American partners to access all of their service contracts through a single pane of glass.
Avnet Technology Solutions (AVT) announced the launch of its new uRenew portal, which will allow the distributor’s North American partners to access all of their service contracts through a single pane of glass.
Avnet designed the portal based on feedback from partners and solution providers who wanted to have access to all of their maintenance and renewal data in a single source, said Larry Fulop, Avnet Technology Solutions vice president and general manager of Supplier Services for the Americas.
“Avnet’s put a lot of focus around renewals and maintenance,” said Fulop in an interview with The VAR Guy. “As we started to create more focus in this space we started seeing more and more of a need for this tool.”
The uRenew portal allows partners to view the status of their current service contracts in addition to providing visibility into renewal opportunities across multiple technology manufacturers, according to the announcement. The portal is also expected to help partners capture annuity revenue streams and grow their businesses.
Several data analytics categories will be available, including renewal tracking, opportunity management and sales transformation insights. The portal’s management reporting feature will also help partners who don’t check their renewals on a daily basis to receive high-level overviews via email reports.
Avnet introduced the portal two months ago to a select number of partners through a pilot program, Fulop noted. The distributor plans to add additional repository data from partners and continue to integrate asset data from other providers as the service matures.
The uRenew portal is the latest announcement in Avnet’s campaign to provide its partner ecosystem with extra maintenance support. In January, ATS announced the launch of the Maintenance ServicesNow program, which allows solution providers and suppliers to keep tabs on their customers’ maintenance services contracts.
