This week The VAR Guy brings you the latest partner program news from Seceon, Extreme Networks & SUSE.
Hot cybersecurity startup Seceon has been busy building its channel program this year. The program, which is six months old, just added two more names to its list of partners: iuvo Technologies and Iono Inc. Seceon offers a Docker container- based open threat management (OTM) platform that can be deployed on any virtual machine in a private, public or hybrid cloud. It leverages intelligent data collection and analysis to identify in real time both the most relevant threats the most effective means to combat them.
“Our budding partner roster of security-focused solution providers will help us to address increasing customer demand, accelerate our go-to-market strategy and provide customer support,” said Chandra Pandey, Seceon founder and CEO. Seceon has a distribution agreement with immixGroup, an Arrow company, and offers partners one-day training sessions on the product.
Networking solution provider Extreme Networks (EXTR) has added several new incentives to its Extreme Partner Program. The company says the additions are designed to increase profitability and simplify business for channel partners. Enhancements include new solution-selling offerings, net new customer acquisition, wireless specialization rebates and deal registration programs and training.
"Our partners are critical to Extreme's position in the industry and their dedication validates the success of our go-to-market strategy and leadership in the mid-market enterprise,” said Bob Gault, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Services and Channels, Extreme Networks. “With the rollout of the new Wireless Specialization Program in March 2016 that acknowledges partner skills and expertise, the EPN is a further extension of our commitment to reward and incentivize partner success and these new programs will capitalize on their investments well into the future."
Research by 451 found that managed services revenue, for both multi-tenant and single-tenant cloud offerings, is growing 60% faster than revenue from infrastructure-only services. Hosting is where the revenue of the future is at, and open source software provider SUSE wants to make it easier for their reseller partners to make the move to managed services. It’s established a new program that extends their suite of offerings to allow partners to include hosting within their existing relationship with the company.
“Many of our customers are finding value in partnering with a managed cloud provider so they can stay fast and lean and focus their limited resources on their core business and on driving innovation,” said Ronald de Jong, president of sales at SUSE. “SUSE Reseller Hosting enables our reseller partners to easily create new offerings to serve these customers within their existing SUSE partnership framework, while growing the important relationships our SUSE end-user customers rely on.”
