Citrix’s search for a new global channel chief has culminated in the appointment of industry veteran Bronwyn Hastings, who comes over from SAP where she was vice president of global business development and ecosystems.

Citrix’s Bronwyn Hastings

Hastings, who held several partner executive roles at SAP for eight years and nearly 14 years at Oracle prior to that, replaces longtime Citrix channel chief Craig Stillwell, who left the company in late June after 20 years to take over as chief revenue officer at Carbonite. Citrix announced Hastings’ appointment to partners today, though said she’s not currently available for comment.

“Citrix has a compelling vision for the future of work,” Hastings said in a prepared statement. “I am eager to collaborate with our incredible community of partners to provide companies with the solutions and services they need to make this vision a reality.”

Kevin Gilroy, managing partner of channel consultancy Gilroy Associates who led SAP’s partner organization at SAP earlier in this decade, said he knows Hastings very well. “Brilliant choice,” Gilroy said in an email to Channel Futures. “She ran Asia channel brilliantly. Next-gen channel thought leader.”

Hastings will report to Citrix executive vice president and chief revenue officer Mark Ferrer and will oversee partner sales worldwide throughout Citrix’s ecosystem of 10,000 Citrix Solution Advisors, Citrix Service Providers, Global SI’s, ISV’s and distributors. In addition to global partner sales, Hastings will manage Citrix go-to-market partner programs and partner marketing for the company’s entire portfolio.

In wake of Stillwell’s departure over the summer, Diane Fanelli was appointed to temporarily lead Citrix’s global channel sales organization. Fanelli, who also recently joined Citrix after 25 years at SAP, will work closely with Hastings in the transition. Fanelli will resume her role at Citrix vice president of global systems integrators.
