CompTIA Adds New CertMaster Network+ Exam to Portfolio

CompTIA has expanded its CertMaster online certification portfolio with the addition of its new CompTIA Network+ exam.

The latest exam in CompTIA’s professional certification series is expected to help IT professionals boost their expertise in topics including software-defined networking, cloud and virtualization; physical and virtual network segmentation, wireless and mobile device management and more.

A corresponding CertMaster course is also available to train participants so they can master the exam. More than 400,000 people are currently CompTIA Network+ certified, according to the announcement.

“CompTIA CertMaster is focused on learner engagement,” said Thomas Reilly, vice president of CompTIA Learning, in a statement. “Each learner has a distinct path going through the product, a learning fingerprint. Throughout the course the learner is exposed to four key motivational triggers: progression, risk, achievement and curiosity. Working in combination, these triggers create a positive feedback loop for the learner.”

Earlier this month, CompTIA released its new Business Model Benchmark tool to help members gain additional insight into their financial and operating models. The company also launched Trustmark +, a certification designed to identify best-of-breed companies and make them more visible to channel partners looking to sell cloud services.
