Do IT Smarter VP Says “Partner or Perish”

As a general rule, our team holds a lot of business meetings at Starbucks. But today the business chatter started in Kinkos — when I bumped into Todd McKendrick, VP of sales at Do IT Smarter. McKendrick shared several pieces of news about the company, which is working closely with Xerox, MXLogic, SonicWall, Silverback and other MSP platform providers.

McKendrick mentioned that Do IT Smarter is hosting a road show to help VARs transform themselves into managed service providers. The tour runs through October, and typically attracts several dozen VARs per city.

Also of note: Do IT Smarter continues to work closely with Silverback Technologies, the MSP platform provider acquired by Dell. McKendrick noted that his company has a “partner or perish” mentality, and believes the ITIL standard will help drive interoperability between most of the industry’s MSP platforms.
