CentraStage CEO Christian Nagele became the captain of the ship in 2007, sailing his cloud-based IT management technology company forward and into the wind. No matter if you're an end user, a small business, a big business or a government department, CentraStage aims to assist all with managing IT. What was Nagele's major in college? You'll never guess (unless, of course, you personally know him).
NAGELE: Robbie Williams. Back in my student days (I should get out more.)
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Did You Know?: Robbie Williams features in his own karaoke video game called "We Sing Robbie Williams"?
NAGELE: Mojito — an old classic that is hard to beat.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: One sip of a mojito can simply bring us all back to a little relaxation on the beach (see slideshow photo).
NAGELE: Squash. I recently hung up my rugby boots.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Never played, but always wanted to try it out.
NAGELE: The Pacific. An absorbing insight into one of the most brutal theatres of WW2 (I majored in military history.)
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: A techie who majored in military history? This may be a first. Are there any more out there?
NAGELE: Defeat into Victory by Field Marshall Viscount Slim (a first hand account of the British Burma campaign in WW2). You can leave all those modern-day management and business books on the shelf. In my opinion, this book has it all when it comes to understanding leadership, planning, organisation, maximizing the effect of your available resources, and ultimately triumphing against the odds.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Take a look around the channel, and you'll find plenty of leadership opportunities for our veterans.
NAGELE: Bluetooth Polar Heart Rate Monitor (I love the science of sport).
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: This blogger recently bought his girlfriend one for Christmas — she's now obsessed.
NAGELE: Strava.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: If you need to track your running and cycling, this looks like the app to get.
NAGELE: Skiing to Chamonix in the French Alps. There is simply no better way to leave the pressures of building your own SaaS business behind.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Sometimes it's best to turn tech off and enjoy the world around us.
