Greater Intell, a Seattle-based software and services provider for IT management platforms, has acquired managed service provider MidPoint Services to boost its capabilities surrounding the Kaseya Virtual System Administrator (VSA) platform. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
MidPoint Services is professional services provider specializing in Kaseya solutions, and is also a Kaseya Certified Implementation Partner. Greater Intell said the acquisition will allow it to place more effort on new product development, integration and support services surrounding the VSA management automation platform.
“Greater Intell is a natural choice for MidPoint to mature to the next level,” said Nick Pappas, founder and president of MidPoint Services, in a statement. “Both of our organizations are longstanding supporters of the Kaseya VSA platform, and the time is right to join forces and to accelerate the business.”
The acquisition was also necessary to match the speed of Greater Intell’s developing customer base, according to the announcement. The company said it will require more personnel to keep up with growing market demand for its Kaseya services, and will begin hiring new team members immediately.
“We have known Nick and his team at MidPoint Services for a long time,” said Corey Mandell, chief technology officer and president of Greater Intell. “Their reputation and expertise in Kaseya is vast and well-known. Our company will gain immediate leverage from this relationship and our customers will benefit from their skills and experience.”
The acquisition comes on the heels of Greater Intell’s new partnership with Virtual Administrator, a master managed service provider who added the company’s integration of Piriform’s CCleaner software with the Kaseya VSA in its Go!Manage Remote Management Program.
