EUR Systems (Booth 714) announced today that GulfTel Communications, a member of the Local Telecommunications Division of Madison River Communications and an ILEC providing bundled services to customers in Alabama, has chosen EUR Systems as its business process outsourcing provider.

Each month, EUR will coordinate the printing, stuffing and mailing of bills for GulfTel’s 48,000 customers and Madison River Communications’ 1,250 CLEC end users.

The contract marks the latest addition to a long-term arrangement between EUR and Madison River. Since 1977, EUR has administered end-user billing services, and print and mail fulfillment for MebTel, another subsidiary of Madison River in North Carolina. The partnership has grown to include end-user billing and print and mail fulfillment for Gallatin River Communications, a subsidiary in Illinois.

Madison River officials say they consider EUR an extension of their business.

“They are helping us reduce costs while providing accurate and timely billing to our customers,” says Matt Springer, vice president and general counsel of Madison River.

EUR’s services include outsourced facilities management and hardware hosting models. Its billing solutions include Aptis end-user billing and customer care, Advantacs inter-carrier billing, wholesale billing, billing production control, remittance processing, TelcoTax tax table maintenance, and message reconciliation and verification.
