Ingram Micro Forms U.S. Advanced Solutions Organization

Ingram Micro (IM) announced the formation of its U.S. Advanced Solutions organization, which unites the company’s Advanced Computing and Advanced Technology Solutions teams under one roof. The newly formed organization will be led by Senior Vice President Tim Ament.

Ingram Micro Forms U.S. Advanced Solutions Organization

Ingram Micro (IM) announced the formation of its U.S. Advanced Solutions organization, which unites the company’s Advanced Computing and Advanced Technology Solutions teams under one roof. The newly formed organization will be led by Senior Vice President Tim Ament.

Ament will be responsible for leading the unified go-to-market teams to provide channel partners with professional services, training, sales support and specialized solutions for Ingram’s portfolio, according to the announcement. He will also oversee the teams that support the Promark General Services Administration schedule and Ingram Micro’s Professional and Training Services division.

“Bringing these strategic business units under one organization, overseen by a senior executive and managed by a team of proven business leaders, enables us to be more flexible and provide complete solution delivery for advanced and high-value technologies, as well as offer the dedicated resources and operational excellence our partners have come to expect from Ingram Micro,” said Paul Bay, president, North America, Ingram Micro Technology Solutions, in a statement.

Ament has held several executive-level positions at Ingram Micro in the company’s sales and vendor management departments and has workied with SMB channel partners since joining the distributor in 1997.

Jay Miley headed the former U.S. Advanced Technology Division, with vice president Scott Zahl as the head of the U.S. Advanced Computing Division prior to the merger. The current Ingram Micro Technology Solutions North America unit is now led by senior vice presidents Mark Snider, Tim Ament and Kirk Robinson, who will all report to Bay.

“Tim has a proven track record of managing large and mid-sized enterprise businesses and a longstanding reputation for partner advocacy within the IT channel,” said Bay. “We are pleased to have him lead this expanded team to deliver even greater business value to our partners across the entire Advanced Solutions product and services portfolio.”
