itopia Integration With ConnectWise Lets Users Sync PSA With Google Cloud

ConnectWise partners can now use itopia’s cloud IT management portal to synchronize accounts, ticketing and billing transactions among ConnectWise Manage and Google Cloud Platform.

Miami, Fla.-based itopia – Google Cloud’s only workspace as a service (WaaS) partner – automates discovery, migration and management of Windows workspaces on Google Cloud Platform.

itopia will be demonstrating the product at ConnectWise’s IT Nation conference, being held Nov. 8-10 in Orlando, Fla.

“itopia is a welcomed addition to our ConnectWise integration library and an important alliance for those MSPs looking to expand their go-to-market to include Google Cloud Platform,” Gavin Gamber, vice president of channel sales and alliances for ConnectWise, said in a statement.

itopia is reporting Q3 growth of 60 percent quarter over quarter, owing to the secular trend of accelerating cloud adoption.

The company cited research showing that the percentage of workloads that have already migrated to the cloud remains in the high single digits, but is expected to reach 30 percent during the next five years.

“ConnectWise Manage is the business management platform of choice among our growing base of MSPs and approximately 70 percent of the world’s top MSPs on the MSPmentor 501 Global Edition List, making this integration strategic, timely and game-changing,” itopia chief revenue officer Ted Hulsy said in a statement.

The use of a quality professional services automation (PSA) platform can be the difference between success and failure in the IT services space, he said.

“Business automation software is essential to the success of an MSP in a cloud-first, mobile-first world,” Hulsy’s went on. “Our own research shows MSPs using ConnectWise Manage or a competitive platform produce nearly 50 percent more in monthly recurring revenue than those who don’t.”

itopia also offers the innovative Cost Calculator for Google Cloud, which allows MSPs to quickly estimate the total monthly infrastructure cost to deliver Windows desktops.

“In just minutes, MSPs are presented with the projected infrastructure costs of delivering cloud workspaces to customers and prospects that can then be compared against quotes from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure,” the company’s statement said.

itopia’s integration with the major MSP toolset maker offers a significant opportunity for Google Cloud to expand adoption and sales among IT services providers and across the broader channel.

“Our goal is to make the move to Google Cloud Platform as simple as possible for MSPs and help them, as well as their clients, realize the business-building benefits of cloud computing workloads,” itopia CEO Jon Lieberman said in a statement.
