Kaseya Executive VP Jim Alves Exits MSP Software Company
While Kaseya expands its MSP and IT automation software platform and hires new executives, former Executive VP Jim Alves is the latest company veteran to exit the business.
Jim Alves is the latest Kaseya executive to exit the MSP and IT automation software company. Kaseya’s executive team has evolved dramatically under new CEO Yogesh Gupta, who has been piecing together a growth strategy that spans from MSPs to corporate IT departments.
Alves confirmed that he exited Kaseya in August and is now in relax-mode. During his time at Kaseya, Alves played a key role in educating and messaging to MSPs. Other recent exits include former Chief Marketing Officer Bob Davis. The corporate and executive team changes started in June 2013, when Insight Venture Partners acquired Kaseya and Gupta succeeded former CEO Gerald Blackie.
Expanded Team, Expanded Portfolio
From that point forward, Kaseya acquired Zyrion (cloud and virtualization management) and Rover App (mobile device management). The company also relocated its headquarters from Switzerland to Boston, Mass. And new executives such as CMO Loren Weinberg Jarrett, Chief Sales Officer Brian Murphy and CTO Prakash Khot have joined the team.
Kaseya has carefully messaged to both MSPs and corporate IT managers amid these changes. Overall, it sounds like MSPs are upbeat about Kaseya’s commitment to rounding out its software platform. But we’re watching closely to see how the product integrations with Zyrion and Rover App take shape.
