Kroll Ontrack Launches Data Recovery Certification Program
May 16, 2011
Minneapolis, Minn.-based Kroll Ontrack, a subsidiary of the information solutions company Altegrity, introduced its ANZ Data Recovery Certified Partner Program last week for its VARs in New Zealand and Australia. The aim of the program, according to the company, is to identify its most valuable VARs in the region and then provide them with the IT equipment, training and information to better serve their end user customers.
As part of the program rollout, the first 50 partners to become certified under the new ANZ Data Recovery Certified Partner Program will be entered into a raffle for a free Apple iPad. But before the winning can begin, resellers must complete four of the following five online training courses to become certified VARs under the new partner program:
The Basics of Data Recovery
How to Present and Sell Data Recovery as a Service
Data Recovery in Virtual Environments
Data Management Solutions for Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint Recovery
Secure & Reliable Data Destruction
The Data Recovery Certified Partner Program is designed for IT service providers whose clients have experienced data loss, according to Kroll Ontrack, and partners who are already certified under Kroll’s old standards will remain certified partners even if they do not complete the new certification process. However, they will receive additional partner benefits if they choose to meet the requirements of the new certified partner program, which include partner-only discounts and full access to Kroll Ontrack’s resource center. Other benefits newly certified partners will receive:
10 percent commission and/or referral fee on data recovery services
Priority partner service on all of data recovery needs
Access to exclusive certification courses on how to properly handle data recovery requests
A $100 voucher to use toward a data recovery quote
Kroll Ontrack has been in the data recovery business for more than 20 years and has a global presence with both VARs and end user customers alike. The new partner program builds on Kroll’s expansion of its Due Diligence solutions in late April.
