Perceptive Software, a stand-alone business unit within Lexmark International (NYSE: LXK) that builds process and content management software, has launched Interact Mobile, a product that enables mobile device users to access information and participate in business processes that are  powered by Perceptive Software solutions.

Perceptive Software offers enterprise content management (ECM) and business process management (BPM) software solutions, which are used by customers across industries in more than 30 countries worldwide. Like many companies with roots in printers, Lexmark has been looking to branch out into software and services. Lexmark acquired Perceptive Software for $280 million in May 2010 and operates it as a business unit. Perceptive Software’s main goal is to integrate solutions seamlessly with any business application.

Interact Mobile enables a user to update a case and make decisions from a mobile device anywhere. Perceptive Software says this immediate delivery of content helps users outflank their competition.

Interact Mobile offers high-resolution document viewing on Apple iPad via the device’s native multi-touch interface and supports the currently released version of ImageNow 6.6. Android users can expect Interact Mobile this summer.

Perceptive Software offers a variety of partner programs, including a reseller program. More information about the programs is available here.
