Master Agent Sets Rackspace Sales Record

Rackspace Technology congratulated Avant Communications and its partner community for a monumental sales performance.
Avant attained $1 million in monthly recurring revenue in one year with the cloud provider. Avant is the first Rackspace partner to accomplish the feat.
Michael Stephens, Rackspace’s global agent channel chief, congratulated the agency for the milestone.
“We believe Rackspace Technology’s multicloud solutions are the next big growth driver for the partner channel. The $1 million sales accomplishment is proof that the train has left the station and our future is right now,” Stephens said. “We are ready to continue helping the trusted adviser community and Avant Communications unlock the growth potential and scale into the market demand for multi-cloud solutions.”

Rackspace launched an IPO in August after spending the last four years under private equity. The vendor noted in its IPO filing that COVID-19 spurred more multicloud deployments.
Avant co-founder and CEO Ian Kieninger said credited his company’s agents for their role in delivering Rackspace solutions to enterprises.

“The pace of change in the information technology industry is accelerating at an unprecedented rate and cloud is becoming increasingly important to business success across the board,” Kieninger said.
Avant last week announced two promotions. Jen Gallego now serves as executive vice president of global sales, and Shane McNamara works as executive vice president of engineering and operations.
The master agent also recently unveiled a tool that will help channel partners sell UCaaS solutions to customers.
