Dean Darwin, Chief Revenue Officer for K2 Software.
Darwin: I worked at The Gap slinging Levi 501’s in the early 80’s when they were all the rage. Been selling ever since.
The VAR Guy says: You may still be selling, but you've come a long way from selling acid-washed pants to teenagers since then!
Darwin: 1969 mint condition Camaro Z-248, cherry red with white racing stripes and old Van Halen playing on the 8-track!
The VAR Guy says: Good wheels and good tunes!
Darwin: Vacation? What's that? I work in high tech! Seriously, took my wife to Milan, Florence and Venice Italy and it was amazing.
The VAR Guy says: That does sound amazing! We bet the food was incredible too!
Darwin: "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand – it teaches you to never to give up no matter the circumstances and what real challenges look like. Its a story of unreal courage and unbelievable human spirit.
The VAR Guy says: Hillenbrand's best-selling novel was recently turned into a feature length film directed by Angelina Jolie!
Darwin: Built a new entertainment room in my house that you can hear 3 blocks away. I love watching movies, boxing and concerts with a nice glass of wine in my hand and in the comfort of my own recliner.
The VAR Guy says: Oh man, you must have an awesome sound system! We bet you throw a really good Super Bowl party as well.
Darwin: "Homeland," without a doubt. One of the most intriguing and interesting shows on TV and I think it is amazingly realistic. Love the character development, story lines and the acting. After "Breaking Bad" finished, Homeland is now the best show out there.
The VAR Guy says: We've only watched the first season, but "Homeland" is a pretty awesome show. We still miss "Breaking Bad," though.
Darwin: As a kid, I wanted to be a police officer because I wanted to help people and protect the innocent. I was just impressed with the authority, professionalism and respect of the role and that appealed to me. When people are at their absolute worst place, it seems police officers were always there to take care of things, while putting their own life on the line. It takes a rare person to step up to that kind of responsibility.
The VAR Guy says: It's important to respect the men and women in blue who put their lives on the line for us each day. Thanks for all your service!
Darwin: "Step-Brothers." Anything with Will Ferrell in it and I am there – I just like to laugh … alot. "Step-Brothers" is just a classic. I can watch it a million times and still laugh out loud. John C Reilly and Will Ferrell make magic in that movie.
The VAR Guy: Will Ferrell is a low-brow comic genius, in our humble opinion. "Elf" is one of our favorites, not to mention "Zoolander."
