Microsoft Office 365 Free for iOS, Android Users
Apple iPhone, iPad and Google Android users can now create and edit Microsoft Office content without an Office 365 subscription.
Apple (AAPL) iPhone, iPad and Google (GOOG) Android users can now create and edit Microsoft (MSFT) Office content without an Office 365 subscription.
The Redmond, Washington-based tech giant on Thursday also announced new Office apps and experiences for the iPhone and iPad, and a preview of Office apps for Android tablets.
The new Office for iPhone apps and updated Office for iPad apps for Word, Excel and Powerpoint are available today for customers to download. Starting today, customers can sign up for a preview of Office apps on Android tablets.

“Anytime someone has an idea or an inspiration, we want to empower them to take action,” said John Case, corporate vice president of Office at Microsoft, in a prepared staement. “With over a billion Office customers worldwide, and over 40 million downloads on the iPad, it’s clear that Office applications are what people want to use to get things done.”
Microsoft also presented a larger look at its new “touch-optimized” Office for Windows 10. “Our vision of Office everywhere wouldn’t be complete without Windows, so I’m pleased to confirm that new, touch-optimized Office apps for Windows 10 are in the works and we’ll have more to share soon,” Case said today in a company blog post.
