Motorola Inc. recognized its top performers in sales and customer service among its broadband wireless channel partner awards in North America.

It also named Winncom Technologies, a distributor of wireless networking solutions, as the 2008 Wireless Broadband Distributor of the Year.

The awards were presented recently at Motorola’s 2008 Wireless Broadband Channel Partner Summit.

Winners for top sales included Day Wireless Systems of Portland, Ore., for the West region; Stonecrop Technologies; Pembroke, Mass., for the East region; Direct Network Services; Littleton, Mass., for federal accounts; and Nova Tronics; Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, for Canada.

Customer excellence awards were presented to Cascade; Longview, Wash., in the West region; Robert Stanley Company; Greeley, Co., for the Central region; Scientel; Lombard, Ill., for the Northeast region; Rapid Systems; Tampa, Fla., for the Southeast region; and MBSI; Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, for Canada.

Motorola’s wireless broadband portfolio includes point-to-multipoint solutions, point-to-point solutions, MOTOMESH and One Point Wireless Suite and private broadband networks.
