MSP Acquisition: Tolt Solutions Owner Clearlake Buys Pomeroy
Pomeroy and Tolt Solutions will combine as part of the newly formed Pomeroy Group of Companies, according to a joint announcement released on Tuesday.
Tolt Solutions‘ parent company Clearlake Capital Group is acquiring Hebron, Kentucky-based Pomeroy and plans to combine the two as the newly formed Pomeroy Group of Companies, according to a joint announcement.
The deal will see Pomeroy, an infrastructure management solution provider, merge with the Taylors, South Carolina-based managed service provider to form a singular entity with more than 4,000 employees and nearly $1 billion in annual revenue, according to the announcement.
Tolt Solutions will continue to act as a standalone division within the Pomeroy Group. The new company will be led by the existing management teams, with Clearlake’s Keith Bradley to remain as executive chairman and Chris Froman to remain as chief executive officer. Jack Gularson will remain as president and COO of the Tolt Solutions division.
“The trend for customers to outsource to a single scaled, consistent and reliable national services provider is accelerating,” said Bradley, in a statement. “This is driven by the increasing complexity of infrastructure technology solutions, and seamless management is critical to both day-to-day operations and the execution of strategic growth initiatives. We will continue to add capabilities organically and through acquisition to further enhance our value proposition to our customers and partners.”
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close sometime during Q4 2015.
This is the latest acquisition in a string of MSP deals in last few weeks. Just last week, private equity firms Silver Lake and Thoma Bravo announced its intent to acquire SolarWinds N-Able for $4.5 billion. And last month, infrastructure provider Barracuda Networks acquired Intronis to up its services reach.
