Security-as-a-service provider My Digital Shield has partnered with Nerds On Site to expand its reach into the small and midsized business market. The partnership will allow Nerds On Site to promote and sell MDS’ cybersecurity solution to its global ecosystem of SMB customers.
Nerds On Site’s portfolio consists of SMB-driven solutions including IT department outsourcing and network design and support as well as network security and custom software development solutions. The company expects its partnership with MDS to strengthen its overall security offerings, according to the announcement.
“The decision to partner with MDS was sparked by our desire to provide our clients with the best cyber protection available for SMBs, given the growing concern surrounding data security,” said David Redekop, co-founder, Nerds On Site, in a statement. “We wanted to offer a solution that ensures complete and customizable network security protection to our clients, without breaking the bank, and we strongly believe MDS offers that package.”
My Digital Shield also expects to expand its reach among SMBs in North America by leveraging Nerds On Site’s customer ecosystem.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Nerds On Site and remain confident that this will be a mutually beneficial relationship,” says Andrew Bagrin, CEO and founder of MDS. “Both companies are committed to serving the needs of SMBs, and with this partnership we are furthering our mission of delivering Fortune 500-level cybersecurity to small businesses at an affordable price. With the broad market penetration of Nerds On Site, we are excited to extend our reach and introduce our unique security solution to additional SMB customers.”
Last month, My Digital Shield announced it had updated its channel partner program with new sales tools to give managed service providers and VARs additional ways to boost their recurring revenue streams. The company also appointed former Nortel Networks and General Electric executive Rick Green as its new channel chief in January.
